Arsenal make huge Nicolas Pepe bid
Arsenal have made a mammoth £72million offer for Lille forward Nicolas Pepe, it has been claimed.
The 24-year-old starred for the French side last season putting a bunch of top clubs on alert.
As well as the Gunners, Liverpool have been linked with Pepe this summer.
But now French TV channel TF1 have made the extraordinary claim Arsenal boss Unai Emery has made a £72m bid for the forward.
That’s despite Arsenal only reportedly having £45m to spend after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
New Kieran Tierney offer
Arsenal have made a new improved transfer offer for Kieran Tierney, and the Celtic star has made a decision on his future.
The Gunners first registered an interest in the left-back last month when they submitted a bid of around £15million.
However the offer was rejected by the Scottish champions who believe the offer was well short of their valuation.
Now Arsenal have submitted a new offer of £25m and are waiting to hear back from Celtic.
According to The Sun, a source at Celtic has claimed Tierney wants to move to the Premier League.
They said: “Kieran loves Celtic but his heart is set on a move to the Premier League.
“We all know he wants to further his career and offers like this do not come along often, so it looks inevitable.”
Wilfried Zaha warning sent
Arsenal have been urged to forget signing Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha.
Former midfielder Stewart Robson says that would be the wrong decision because Zaha is not good enough for the level Arsenal want to reach.
“The worry for me is there’s talk of Aubameyang being sold so they can get money to buy other players,” Robson said on ESPN FC.
“And then they’ve made ridiculous offers for Zaha which Crystal Palace say is disgusting and not right.
“Zaha, having seeing him at the African Cup of Nations, Crystal Palace I think is his level.
“He’s a good player at Crystal Palace, he tried at Manchester United.
“If Arsenal bought him for a lot of money, I don’t think he’d be a success.”
