The original design saw three diamonds sat on a plain golden band.
However, the Duchess seems to have changed the band from modest gold to a pave diamond band.
A pave diamond band sees small diamonds set all around the band.
Some also suggested the design had switched the centre stone for a different cut.
Perhaps Meghan switched the band to match her new pave diamond eternity ring, which is suspected to be a push present from Harry.
An expert gave Express.co.uk an exclusive analysis of Meghan’s newly designed ring.
Ailsa Russell Appraiser Prestige Pawnbrokers of Channel 4’s Posh Pawn said: “Meghan’s ring features two brilliant cut diamonds of approximately 0.75ct each from Harry’s mother’s diamond jewellery.
“These are set either side of a stunning cushion cut diamond of approximately 3.5cts.”
Ailsa claimed the central stone had not changed like many suspected.
He said: “I do not think she has changed the stone, it was always more of a rectangle, and not an emerald cut.
“The stunning new addition of a pave set band gives the ring a more dainty appearance, although this will not massively increase the cost.
“The ring would still be estimated in the region of £250,000.”
Twitter users had mixed thought on the newly redesigned ring. One wrote: “The new band is really, really pretty. Lots of Meghan’s jewellery is very delicate, so the new design is more in line with her usual style.”
Another, however, pointed out the ring’s new similarity to her ring from former husband Trevor Engelson.
They wrote: “(Meghan) has redesigned her ring to look like the one Trevor gave her!!!” (sic)
Meghan’s ring from Trevor, her film producer ex, featured a large square diamond set on two sparkling pave bands.
Meghan met Trevor in 2004 and they married in 2011 in Jamaica. However, they divorced in 2013. She met Prince Harry in June 2016.
Did Meghan Markle snub Prince William on Instagram? Harry and Meghan have used the account to congratulate other royals on their birthdays. On the Queen’s birthday they wrote: “Happy Birthday Your Majesty, Ma’am, Granny. Wishing you the most wonderful day.”
However, a message on Prince William’s birthday was not posted.
