Nate Diaz has appeared to take aim at some of his fellow fighters.
The youngest Diaz brother is currently in the final stages of his training camp for UFC 244, which takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York on November 2.
Diaz’s bout at ‘The World’s Most Famous Arena’ – where he was meant to face Dustin Poirier last year – will pit him against fellow fan favourite Jorge Masvidal.
But it appears a certain group of fighters are also on the 34-year-old’s mind ahead of his clash with ‘Gamebred’.
Early on Thursday morning, he tweeted: “Ur a group of p****s.”
The Ultimate Fighter season five winner later tweeted: “1 Big Group.”
Diaz’s failure to reveal who he was venting his fury left many wondering the identities of the members of ‘group’.
Many MMA fans were quick to claim Diaz was taking shots at some of the fighters represented by Ali Abdelaziz’s Dominance MMA, some of whom recently did roundtable interview with TMZ and their manager.
Diaz’s showdown with Masvidal will be his second in the space of 11 weeks, with his first coming against former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis at UFC 241.
The Stockton native’s clash with ‘Showtime’ was his first outing in three years, though he showed no signs of Octagon rust on his way to picking up a unanimous decision victory.
After seeing off Pettis, immediately called for clash with his fellow ‘gangsta’ Masvidal to defend the ‘Baddest Motherf****r’ in the Game’ title.
The UFC brass duly obliged and will make a one-off BMF belt for their fourth visit to Madison Square Garden.
